In 2013, he completed his MMED in orthopaedic surgery and was admitted to the College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of South Africa (FC Orth (SA)) that same year.

Specialty Procedures and Treatments

We are committed to providing our patients with the highest level of medical and nursing care.

Following your initial consultation with Dr. Hardcastle, we will walk you through your healing process, whether surgical or non-surgical, until you feel like a happier, healthier version of yourself.

Arthroscopy of the Knee

An arthroscopy is a minor surgical procedure that only requires 2-3 small incisions and the insertion of a small camera that allows us to see inside the knee joints and identify potential conditions.
During the procedure, you will be asleep.

Knee Replacement Surgery

Only the damaged surfaces of your knee (the end of your thigh bone, the femur, and the top of your shin bone, the tibia) are removed and replaced with metal and plastic pieces that fit together to mimic the natural movement of the knee.

Total Hip Replacement Surgery

A hip joint replacement procedure entails removing the damaged bone, replacing the femoral head, and re-lining the hip socket.
The type of replacement or components used will be determined by the extent of the joint surface damage.

ACL Reconstruction

This hip joint surgery will help to relieve pain and restore function.
An ACL reconstruction involves replacing the torn ligament with a piece of the hamstring from behind the knee, or sometimes a piece of the patellar or quadriceps tendon.
