Dr Pip Gale is a female Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a private practice in Wollongong Hospital.

Dr Gale is a highly experienced, compassionate, Australian trained Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. She completed her fellowship in NSW, with most of her her specialty training at Wollongong Hospital and has lived in the Illawarra for over ten years. She graduated from medical school in 2004 (University of Tasmania) and has worked in various highly regarded hospitals in and around Sydney (St George, Sutherland).

Great news for Illawarra women! Dr Pip Gale has now teamed up with Dr Jodi Croft, another local female Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, to offer the very best in female-focused healthcare for women in the Illawarra and will now share her weekend and on-calls with Dr Jodi Croft.

She spent 12 months working in remote women’s health in East Kimberley, Western Australia and 6 months in North West Tasmania. She is excited to offer a new non surgical vaginal treatment to the women of the Illawarra. She is the first female Gynaecologist in Australia to offer women the ThermiVa. It is a painless treatment to help treat urinary incontinence, tighten loose vaginal skin, including the outer labia and the inner vaginal canal, reducing laxity.

It helps to restore the look and feel of the vagina (particularly post baby) but also helps with vaginal dryness and issues with libido and orgasmic dysfunction. It works by promoting new collagen and nerve regeneration through radiofrequency, using a small vaginal wand. Dr Tetstall attained her post graduate medical degree through the University of Sydney. She had an interest in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from early on in her degree. She subsequently undertook her medical elective in Obstetrics in Luganville, Vanuatu, and her Honours project was published in the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Dr Tetstall completed the majority of her specialist training at the Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick, where she worked in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for 9 years. During this time she was able to gain considerable experience in the management of both low and high risk Obstetrics. She completed an Ultrasound Fellowship at Royal Hospital for Women, where she worked closely with the Maternal Fetal Medicine department.

Dr Tetstall has furthered her experience and qualifications in fertility medicine and ultrasound diagnosis. She holds a Masters degree in Reproductive Medicine, and has a Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound.

Dr Tetstall is committed to education and research. She currently facilitates the Obstetric and Gynaecology teaching program at Wollongong Hospital. She holds a conjoint associate lecturer position at the University of NSW and is an examiner for the RANZCOG pre-examination courses.

Dr Tetstall has settled in the Illawarra  with her husband and two small boys. The family fell in love  with the  area after Dr Tetstall spent  time at Wollongong Hospital during her training. After completing her Ultrasound Fellowship she has returned to the area to raise her family.

Dr Karen Kong is an expert in the fields of infertility and reproductive surgery. She is the only Australian gynaecologist who has undertaken dual Fellowship training in CREI (Certificate in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility) and AGES (Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery). These were completed at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne and St George Hospital in Sydney. She holds the Masters in Reproductive Medicine from the University of New South Wales. In addition, she has a major commitment to the training of medical students and junior doctors in her speciality.
