Dr. Bothner continued managing the clinic, and was joined by Dr. Klaus Wiswedel – a legendary physician who founded the first infertility clinic in the country – and Dr. JFA Potgieter.
Dr. Bothner takes a holistic approach to treatment, and she has completed a number of courses, including BodyTalk, Reiki and Phytoalchemy, to be able to give her patients the best possible care.

Dr Bothner Parklane Reviews – What People say
Dr Bothner delivered my son in March 2010. She was my first gynae ever and I refuse to see anyone else to date. When I suffered a miscarriage in 2014 she was as brilliant as ever helping me understand the whole situation. I am looking forward to going back to her because I may be preggies. Although I am on the other side of town I still refuse to see anyone else. Source
Netcare Excellent Experience
My wife delivered our first baby on Friday 31 May 2013 at Parklane Hospital. We were anxious as our baby was under weight (2.28kg) and we feared that something could be wrong. Delivery went smooth (Dr. Bothner & Dr. Lucic) and we felt a lot better after we found out nothing was wrong. I must applaud all the staff of Parklane Hospital for making our experience a happy one. One person in particular have been outstanding. Nurse Lindy Ntuli taught us how to take care of our baby. I do understand that it is her job to do that but being a HR Manager myself I do appreciate extraordinary staff a little more than the ordinary person. She persevered through all our feeding sessions until my wife was comfortable breastfeeding. She followed up on our baby’s progress even when she was not our allocated nurse. She guaranteed success in the beginning and achieved it in the end. We owe her a lot and my letter to you is only a small gesture but hopefully you can understand what her dedication has meant to us. I commend Parklane’s staff for excellent service and professionalism. We will be referring everyone we know. Many thanks. Source
Female Gynae @ Parklane Hospital
I’m new to this kinda stuff.
I am looking for a female gynae @ Parklane Hospital – who has had good results in treating fibroids.
I have been battling to fall pregnant for the past 3years – but my GP says I need to remove da fibroids before I can attempt any ivf or gift procedure
You can also try DR K Bothner, don’t have her details on me at the moment, but she also came highly recommended. You could google her if you like, she is also at Parklane but she’s at Meredale on Fridays
Unfortunately, Dr Bothner is also very busy at times, it does get annoying at some point. Source

Dr Herman Nditsheni Netshidzivhani – a specialist who gave life
Among those who came to pay their respects at Netshidzivhani’s Johannesburg home this week were a number of children of friends and family who were delivered by him and Dr Brigit Bothner, Netshidzivhani’s wife and partner in his gynaecological practice.
In the early 1990s, Netshidzivhani was the registrar of the gynaecology department at the then Ga-Rankuwa Hospital (now Dr George Mukhari Hospital), and went on to work at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto, where he met Bothner, who had come from her native Germany to train, and who he later married. Theirs was an enduring love story.
In a statement read out at his funeral in Tshakhuma yesterday, Bothner said Netshidzivhani was the “love of my life, my soul mate”. Source
Meet a media mogul in the making
The partnerships are key to the content of her magazines, too. In Mamas & Papas, her long-standing specialist columnists are Dr Herman Netshidzivhani and Dr Birgit Bothner, married paediatricians based at Park Lane Hospital. “Partnerships like this one are vital, because, at the end of the day, content is king,” says Mdluli.
